Stein Columna Consulting Limited
Specialist legal, data protection, and compliance advisory for corporate and institutional clients, with particular focus on Zambia's evolving legislative environment and comparable legislation across the region.
About
Stein Columna is a Zambian regulatory affairs, data protection, and governance group serving corporate and institutional clients across Southern Africa. We bring legal rigour, multi-jurisdictional experience, and a principled view of privacy to a market where qualified expertise is urgently needed and still scarce.

Who We Are
Established in 2026 and based in Lusaka, both entities work to the same standard of rigour.
Specialist legal, data protection, and compliance advisory for corporate and institutional clients, with particular focus on Zambia's evolving legislative environment and comparable legislation across the region.
The group's professional development arm, pursuing authorisation as a licensed provider and developing Certified Data Protection Officer programmes with a state university in the region.
Our Conviction
Long before data protection became law, our founder spent six years as a human rights advocate, directing what was then the only litigation-based refugee programme in Africa.
That work shaped a conviction at the centre of everything we do: protecting personal data is, at its core, protecting people — their dignity, their autonomy, and their safety.
The result is not paperwork for its own sake, but systems that earn trust and hold up to scrutiny.

Founder & Chief Executive Officer
A Zambian legal practitioner of over twenty years' standing at the Zambian Bar — a respected regulatory affairs specialist, certified Data Protection Officer, and governance practitioner whose career spans the private sector, public service, and civil society.
Over two decades advising multinational corporations, regulatory bodies, and government entities across telecommunications, energy, pension law, human rights, and data protection.
Practising MultiChoice Group DPO across Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Eswatini from 2021 to 2026, with direct exposure to GDPR operations.
A seasoned trainer of senior professionals, with delivery across Dubai, Italy, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, and the wider region.
Former director of the Legal Resources Foundation Refugee Program, the foundation of her principled orientation to privacy.
“I have spent my career watching these regulations arrive across the region. The organisations that act now are the ones that will set the standard — not scramble to meet it.”
